PLANT QUALITY ENGINEER - BASILDON - SALARY UPTO 32,500 + EXCELLENT BENEFITS
A world leader in its field with dealers in 160 countries, our client now has a vacancy for a Plant Quality Engineer. If you are a Quality Engineer qualified to HNC/HND level in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering then we want to hear from you.
Duties:
Drive the team to continuously improve production
Resolve quality concerns raised by customer/warranty reports, ensuring resolutions are fed directly back through to the product support network.
Implement action to improve manufacturing quality, efficiency and safe working.
Analyse and determine production concerns, implement and follow up corrective actions, utilising best method and 8D problem solving techniques.
Liaise with other plant quality facilities to achieve common goals and best practises.
Review new product programmes, supporting as an active member of the launch team and assisting with changes to existing products.
Co-ordinate with Manufacturing, Product Engineering, Planning & Logistics and Purchasing action implemented to resolve quality concerns.
Be able to supervise staff when necessary.
Problem solving to determine and correct the root causes of customer and internal concerns.
Skills & Qualifications
HNC/HND Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
Manufacturing, Engineering or Quality Engineering experience
Technical and application knowledge of statistical process control and 7 step problem solving
Computer literate and excellent communication skills
