Our client, a business to business services provider, is regarded as a continual innovator of logistical solutions to a blue chip client base. Employing 8,000 people globally, they have an extensive network of international manufacturing sites. As part of a high visibility, strategic plant development program, significant investment is underway in all their manufacturing operations.
This key role, reporting to the Regional Director, will give you complete responsibility for their West Midlands plant, which empoys c60 individuals and serves the automotive OE and T1 manufacturers. You will lead the achievement of the key business objectives and KPIs related to safe operations, output, quality, continuous process improvement and cost reduction. Additionally you will contribute to capital projects for the facility and the development of TPM programmes. Whilst working within an organised structure you will have the autonomy to deliver creative solutions for the business.
As a highly motivated individual, you will already have gained experience of people management within a high volume, process based, manufacturing and operations environment and will be looking to develop you career through the assumption of greater people management responsibility. You will conversant with the application of lean tools and continuous improvement techniques to modernise operations.
Ideally qualified in an engineering or business discipline, you will have the capability to lead, direct and manage the activities of a combined permanent and contract employee team and create a dynamic manufacturing environment.
