Description

A senior planner with a minimum of 2 years experience in defence, aerospace, transport or civil engineering environments is required.

The successful applicant will have a proven track record of project management and demonstrable competence with IT systems, programme management, earned value management and risk tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF ROLE:
- Producing Project Management Plans and Project Instructions
- Creation of WBS, OBS, PBS and RAM structures
- Cost Account Planning and Work Package Definition
- Creation of timephased, logic linked and resourced programme schedules
- Analysis and incorporation of sub-contractor programmes leading to creation of Integrated Master Schedules.
- Critical Path Analysis
- Progressing schedules, incorporating and analysing actual spend through monthly Cost Account Manager and Work Package Manager reviews
- Provision of monthly progress reporting inputs, in particular cost performance reporting data
- Provide analysis and inputs of potential changes to programmes submitted as part of the configuration control procedure.
- Maintaining the programme baseline schedules
- Attend meetings internally or externally with customer, sub-contractor or programme team.
- Maintain office procedures & documentation

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Experience of MS Project, Primevera, Artemis planning and scheduling tools
- Must have worked in a project management environment for a minimum of 2 years
- Experience and high degree of competence with IT systems and programme management and risk tools
- Detailed understanding of project management, procedures and processes
- Ability to communicate effectively at meetings with customer
- Understanding of the Systems Engineering Lifecycle
- Knowledge of how systems interrelate and interconnect

Regular travel to client sites is a part of this role so candidates must be fully mobile.
