We are recruiting for a Planning Engineer to work for a leading defence company. They are offering an initial 6 month contract with a possibility of e
tension.
The successful candidate will:
Monitor all aspects (timing, resourcing and cost) of the Revision programme
Provide report to the Senior Engineering Project Manager on current and forecasted status using earned value techniques and relevant corporate tools where applicable
Responsible for maintaining the configuration of the plan
Responsible for change management
Allocation and control of budget to the functional teams
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
Have an in depth knowledge of Microsoft Project (MSP)
Planning schedules
Creating pre warning mechanisms
Forecasting
Risk Management
Has substantial knowledge and understanding of the project life cycle.
Has in depth knowledge and experience of Earned Value techniques and processes.
Experience in the Aerospace industry an advantage.
Experience gained in a production engineering environment is essential.
An ability to deliver under pressure.
Attention to detail
Clear and concise communication styles
Embraces change initiatives
The successful candidate will need to undergo through a basic security clearance
