Planner (Automatic Assembly)
Our client, who delivers innovation in technology through design and manufacturing processes, has an urgent requirement for a Planner (Automatic Assembly) based at Southend-on-Sea.

Key Responsibilities as a Planner are:
•To plan inter department components & finished goods for the Automatic Assembly department, ensuring Annual Operating Plan (AOP) targets for Customer Service, Inventory, Cost & Safety are met
•Develop & maintain production & material plans using a variety of planning tools & processes
•Manage all associated data to a high level of accuracy
•Manage priority & back orders
•Manage spiked orders & exceptional demand
•Expedite materials to ensure plans are met
•Develop a proactive communication relationship with all Customers & Suppliers, both Internal & External
•Capacity planning
•Controlling Finished Goods Stock (FGS) through management of Safety Stock & Production Orders.
•Provide Available To Promise (ATP) data to the Order Book Management Team (OBM)
•Gain a good level of understanding for all core products & processes
•Gain a detailed understanding of all planning processes
•Ensure planning processes are joined up with all other elements of the planning value stream
•Create visual performance measures
•Manage special project orders & New Product Introductions (NPI)
•Be the point of escalation for daily accountability meetings
•Lead in Rapid Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement activities
•Agree SIOP data to be escalated
•Support rough cut capacity planning across the site, initially developing close links with the Mould Unit.
Experience/Education Required:
•A minimum of 2 years planning experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, with working knowledge of MRP system, SAP ERP system & Microsoft Excel.
•Green Belt accredited in Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing an advantage
