This is a new role, made necessary by expansion. The successful applicant will undertake duties currently carried out by other members of the team, releasing them for other tasks. We are very flexible as to type of person, hours of work, short-notice changes to hours of work etc. and, although the post is temporary, there is no fixed end-date at the moment. Initially the work would be approx 20 hours per week, either a few hours each day or 2 to 3 days full-time. The role might suit someone who has semi-retired or someone currently at home but looking for some flexible employment. The ideal candidate would have:
Qualifications as a mechanical engineering inspector or mechanical engineer.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
High levels of manual dexterity and ability to use engineering measuring equipment.
Good eye for detail and small components.
Flexibility to undertake other tasks such as covering for Goods-In or Packing roles.
