Description
OTHER DUTIES:
It will of benefit, though not essential, for the job holder to be very familiar with hydraulic design or control
systems. He or she will also be able to conduct or participate in meetings, both internal and external, be able
to prepare Technical or Project Files. To assist test/service/commissioning effort during the appropriate phases
of contracts. To assist project build by handling and responding to Manufacturing Queries and requests.

Project Engineer
MAIN FUNCTION OF THE ROLE:
The Project Engineer will generally run one or more projects and will liase with all relevant Departments to
ensure the work is carried out and fulfils all technical, commercial and quality requirements of a contract.
To review the technical and commercial aspects of project specifications with reference to the submitted
quotations. To liaise directly with the client (with Engineering Group support, where necessary) on all technical
matters relating to the design of packages. To ensure, through the Engineering Group, technical compliance
of all elements of engineering design on a project basis. To undertake responsibility for quoting / negotiating
extras which arise from time to time during the course of the contracts. Liaison with Sales on contentious
issues, as necessary, to maintain good customer relations. To generate project control documentation and,
through the Engineering Group, ensure the generation of all engineering documentation and manuals
required by the project, at each stage of the contract, at the times required

purchase requisitions and maintain an accurate PO Schedule. Review and report project status; in terms of
schedule, invoicing, costs expended and future expenditure.
i. To understand and implement the company Environmental, Quality and Health and Safety Policies, in
particular those aspects relating to product design and realisation.
ii. To be conversant with and implement all relevant Company Environmental, Quality and Health and
Safety requirements contained in the Company Manuals and Procedures
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:
ESSENTIAL:
- GCSE English, Science and Mathematics
- HNC/HND in relevant engineering discipline
- Strong IT skills
DESIRABLE:
- Oil & Gas experience
- Hydraulic / Pneumatic design experience
- Degree in relevant discipline
