Description
HMGCC researches, designs and develops end-to-end communications solutions from conception through to disposal.
Our Production Engineers play a crucial role: liaising with different business areas, delivering designs that are fit for manufacture and providing innovative engineering solutions to any problems arising during design and manufacture.
Key tasks will range from representing the manufacturing division at client meetings and mentoring less experienced staff to ensuring compliance with Health and Safety requirements. You will also be expected to stay abreast of new developments in production engineering.
Your broad background in electro/mechanical product development, manufacturing and testing will be complemented by a proven track record of delivering successful designs and, ideally, an HNC/HND/degree in Electronic or Mechanical Engineering. Strong problem-solving, design-for-manufacture and communication skills, the ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and an understanding of the Design for Manufacture philosophy will be essential. An enthusiastic and energetic team player, you will be able to work in a pressurised environment without compromising attention for detail. A sound grasp of MS Office suite will also be required.
