Description

This is a great chance to use a diverse range of craft skills in an enthusiastic team working in a modern, well-equipped workshop delivering small pre-production, development and production equipment.
You will be responsible for producing a wide range of components from solid models, engineering drawings and verbal instructions using a selection of CNC machines. As well as working through all stages of the manufacturing lifecycle you will liaise closely with design engineers to provide manufacturing solutions and ensure all components meet quality and safety requirements.
To succeed you will need to have served a recognised engineering apprenticeship or demonstrate equivalent practical experience. Proven ability to set CNC machines and an in-depth knowledge of mechanical manufacturing techniques will be required. A highly effective problem-solver, organiser and communicator, you will be capable of working productively with others in a demanding environment and maintaining attention to detail. A proactive approach to Health and Safety and a good level of computer literacy will be vital and additional skills such as toolmaking, sheet metal fabricating and plastics prototyping would be welcomed.
