Description
Major Responsibilities:
To lead the development and implementation of a PCS (Product Creation System) for Aston Martin based upon GPDS. To work across all functions of the business to define the right approach for Aston Martin and to act as the focal point for both the development and implementation of the process.
To lead the development and implementation of a PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) Strategy for Aston Martin. To work closely with the PD and Systems teams to generate the Business Requirements that deliver the AML strategic vision and integrate with the ERP and IT Strategy
To lead the development of the CAD/CAE strategy for Aston Martin and subsequently manage the implementation of the agreed strategy
Experience and Background Skills Desired
Minimum of 5 years Automotive Engineering experience essential, either OEM or supplier
Engineering degree
Detailed knowledge of Product Development Processes essential (preferably GPDS/FPDS/MPDS)
Knowledge/experience of PLM solutions and their integration into a business
Broad engineering knowledge including product development, prototype build, manufacturing/production
and service
Ability to analyse complex scenarios or issues
Coordinate cross functional meetings
Ability to handle multiple projects
Challenge the status quo
Pragmatic, logical thinker
Highly adaptable to cover breadth and range of people & projects
Other considerations:
Must have relevant experience not only aspirations to gain experience in this field.
