PCB Technician
Assembly of PCBs into complete units and the final test of PCBs and systems prior to despatch. Close cooperation with QA and Service Technicians will be essential.
You must have a basic electronic qualification with the ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics, and an in depth knowledge and experience of electronic test and assembly techniques gained in an electronics or electro-mechanical industry :TV Servicing, Aerospace, Automotive or Defence sectors are particularly relevant. Excellent soldering skills. Experience of SMT repair/rework and Prototype SMT assembly would be desirable. A full UK driving licence an advantage as there may be some travel to visit UK suppliers. Good eyesight and colour vision.
Main Duties of this Position will be to provide the final electrical test for all products working in conjunction with present Test/Service technicians, to record test results and failure mechanisms, fault-find and repair to component level on PTH and SMT type PCBs, assembly of products of an electrical/electronic nature, asembly of small mechanical assemblies as required, to assist in the design and construction of jigs and fixtures.
