Our client is looking for a PAT tester to periodically safety test all portable electrical appliances on site. This is a high level security site where each candidate will need to go through MOD security clearance (DV level).
Our client is looking for a PAT tester to periodically safety test all portable electrical appliances on site.
Key duties will include:
* Annually or as dictated by the authority, carry out portable appliance testing in accordance with IEEE regulations
* Rectify minor faults discovered as a result of the testing. Replace cables, fuses, plugs etc as required
* Store results of tests and download into main database as appropriate
* Assist EST team leader in management of the database
* Fulfil all ad hoc customer requests for testing in a structured manner
* Support the installation team if possible with electrical testing and elements of installation work
* Ensure correct calibration of equipment and that it is fit for purpose. Any equipment deficiencies are to be notified to the line manager for inclusion in the budgets for a given year
Candidates are required to have an Electrical background and ideally hold a City & Guilds 2377 qualification or be willing to study for it.
Candidates also need to have the ability to obtain a DV level of clearance due to the location and nature of work.
Hours:
8.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday
Pay:
circa £19,500 per annum depending on suitability
