A highly experienced Oracle Software Engineer is currently needed for our large defence organisation-client based in Wells, Somerset.
The ideal ca
didate would be working within the ITEA platform integration team developing the ARRC C2IS solution utilizing a range of COTs, MOTs and in house developed software products.
The key tasks would include-
Specific responsibilities to include:
•Installation, configuration and support of an Oracle 10G secured environment.
•Managing and carrying out Oracle Patch updates.
•Optimizing the performance of Oracle within the solution.
•Oracle Backup and restore strategy development.
•Raising incident reports and liaising with Oracle support.
•Integration of the ARRC c2IS solution with Oracle.
•General troubleshooting.
The successful candidate-
•We are not looking for an ORACLE DBA but need someone who has a good working understanding of the Oracle 10G product and would ideally be an application Server administrator with some of the following skills:
•Specific knowledge of High availability Oracle 10G installations
•Knowledge of Grid Control configuration and Oracle Patch management
•Oracle 10G RAC configuration and optimisation
•Application Server administration
•Backup and recovery for Oracle 10G
•OC4J Integration and configuration
•Knowledge of Certificate Authority and OID
