Our client a leading consultancy firm to the MoD are currently looking for an oracle discoverer to be responsible for delivering the skills transfer phase of the MODs Human Resource Management Information Full Operating Capability Project. The main output of this phase is the transfer of Oracle Discoverer skills to between 5 and 8 members of the People Pay and Pensions Agency Management Information Team. Skills to be transferred Three broad areas of skills need to be transferred Data and Databases: including hierarchies, EULs etc. Discoverer Admin: including business areas and data refreshes Report Writing: from requirement to design and creation Within these three are eight specific skills, which will need to be transferred to different levels for staff with different roles in the team. Some team members will required an in-depth technical knowledge, whereas, others will require an appreciation only. The specific skills are: Understanding Hierarchies Understanding Tables Designing and Creating Business Areas Performing Technical Administration Building Designs from User Requirements Report Design Understanding and Writing SQL Using TOAD Desired Outputs The main outputs are: A plan showing skills transfer activity in the period 2 Jan 08 - 28 Mar 08 A description of the expected capability of each team member at the end of the skills transfer period Skills transfer to MI team members as per the plan Availability of 2 reports (Development Schemes and Establishment and Strength II). You may also be required, when not engaged in skills transfer, to develop further reports. Desired Skill Set Oracle SQL Oracle Discoverer Admin Oracle Discoverer Plus Oracle Discoverer Desktop TOAD Training Experience - user facing role. Candidates must possess current SC level clearance or be willing to undertake security clearance to be considered for this position.
