Main Objectives of the Role
The Operations Manager has defined authority and responsibility for the implementation of the business policy and plan for New and Existing Production operations and attainment of the defined site objectives and targets, ensuring where required compliance with legal/customer mandatory obligations and company procedures.

Main Objectives of the Role
The Operations Manager has defined authority and responsibility for the implementation of the business policy and plan for New and Existing Production operations and attainment of the defined site objectives and targets, ensuring where required compliance with legal/customer mandatory obligations and company procedures.
Key Objectives and Responsibilities
To Take full responsibility of the Operations function, incorporating Production, Quality Purchasing, Operations Support, Logistics and Stores, and Production Engineering.
To ensure the effective and efficient planning and manufacture of the client's hyper car, and Existing Production and development projects.
To take full accountability and responsibility (together with other senior colleagues) the successful implementation of new project and process introductions utilizing defined quality management systems and procedures type; APQP and PPAP. With a RFT of 90% TO 95%.
To lead through personal and departmental involvement, the implementation of projects on time, within budget and consistent with internal/external customer requirements.
Complete knowledge of all company policies and procedures is required and mandatory, adherence to and following of each procedure is required. It is a must that the operations manager needs to be aware that what you are preaching must be practiced.
To achieve and demonstrate the continual performance and improvement of all manufacturing out put and related items, type:
Quality, On Time in Full Delivery and Service, Manufacturing Output, Productivity & Cost, CBI, H, S & E
To develop, implement and control CBI activities through the organization, based on people development activities and training that incorporate, type:
Kaizen, 5S implementation, Mistake proofing, Rapid changeover, Lean techniques, Time and motion, Problem solving, Productivity & cost
To demonstrate the continual development and performance improvement of departmental personnel through use of the company appraisal and personnel development system and evidence of effective quantified training.
To participate in the development of the business strategy, coordination/preparation of annual budgets/plans.
Preparation of annual departmental budgets to be agreed with Managing Director and monthly reporting of actual performance against agreed plans. Note that Targets are to improve on budgeted cost lines by 'pro rata' 10%.
Recommendations to the Managing Director for new Company and Departmental Capital investments and equipment replacement in a timely manner so as to improve the cost/efficiency of the Company and department.
Promote Best Practice' throughout all Manufacturing related activities by embracing a continuous business improvement culture, in order to better the business' capability to meet future demands.
Conduct routine weekly and monthly manufacturing performance reporting to senior management.
To liaise with other internal departments and with external sources, including suppliers, manufacturers and customers.
To carry out such other tasks as may be required from time to time.
