Operational Analyst Consultant

Description

My client, a top consultancy, requires an Operational Analyst with a broad range of experience in defence analysis techniques and knowledge of all warfare domains, particularly the land domain. The successful applicant will work with a number of projects providing advice and practical support on analysis covering all defence lines of development.

Responsibilities to include:
-Preparation of Operational Analysis plans for projects suited to the needs, resources and timescales of the project and its customers.
-Conduct Operational Analysis in support of project objectives
-Contribute to the selection, development and use of analysis methods, tools and techniques.
-Support Synthetic Environment based Concept Development and Experimentation in the design of experiments, choice of measures of merit, and use of scenarios, doctrine and Concepts of Operation
-Reporting of Analysis results using written reports and presentations.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
-Good written and presentation skills
-Liaison and ability to communicate effectively at meetings with customer
-Broad knowledge of Operational Analysis methods, tools and techniques
-A good knowledge of the land domain and other military domains, including familiarity with UK doctrine, Conops, fielded systems and possible future systems.
-Understanding of MoD requirements and processes for conducting OA for COEIAs and Business Cases,
-Understanding of the DPA's CADMID cycle and Smart Acquisition processes
-Understanding of Network Enabled Warfare and Effects Based Operations
-Understanding of MOD's Defence Lines of Development
-Proposal writing experience
