Your main role will be to take the lead in the derivation of the IPMS Operability and Human Factors process of the Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS) on the platform, ensuring that contract and project requirements are satisfied. This will involve the development of the IPMS Operability Process including the reconciliation of system functionality, ship operation and SCC / HQ2 human tasks and their capture within the IPMS System Architect tool, provide a professional focus for all aspects of the IPMS operability process on the platform, ensure that IPMS human factors engineering activities are implemented in a timely manner to address the needs of the project.

This will involve the development of the IPMS Operability Process including the reconciliation of system functionality, ship operation and SCC / HQ2 human tasks and their capture within the IPMS System Architect tool, provide a professional focus for all aspects of the IPMS operability process on the platform, ensure that IPMS human factors engineering activities are implemented in a timely manner to address the needs of the project and where necessary identify the need for specific resources and capture, define and agree IPMS transversal requirements in system specifications.
Qualified to 1st degree level or equivalent in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or with demonstrable previous recent management experience at this level within ship building/operation you will possess a good understanding of the requirements of Defence Projects and have working knowledge of Defence Standards, Military Specifications and Lloyds Rules. Familiarity with relevant engineering disciplines including software and hardware design, ship safety management, system integration and acceptance is highly beneficial.
