Dowding & Mills specialises in the refurbishment of electrical equipment including motors and generators and also has expertise in repairing electronic control systems and the associated mechanical driven units such as pumps and gearboxes.

Job Purpose
To provide offshore support for electrical maintenance and inspection.

Principal duties and responsibilities
• Report directly to the Offshore Project Manager
• Mobilise to offshore locations as directed by the Project Team
• Carry out your duties in a safe and professional manner at all times
• Write job reports as directed by the Project team
• Be available for work at all times except when on allowable leave breaks or field breaks as directed by the project team
• Work as a team member when mobilised as part of a larger work-scope

Working Conditions
• Environment:
The job is primarily offshore based but may require some onshore work, there may also be a requirement for foreign travel and locations.

• Working Hours:
The minimum working hours are 12 hours per day offshore and paid overtime hours according to job demands. Night shift work may be required according to job demands. Mobilisations of up to three weeks may be required from time to time to meet commitments.

• Attendance:
On an ad-hoc basis, depending on work load or on rotation, depending on existing contracts. A retainer will be paid for equivalent days onshore and all local and national holidays.

Attainments
• Valid Survival Certificate
• Valid Medical Certificate
• Current COMPEX Hazardous Area Training Certificate
• Time served Electrical Engineer with valid certification and references
• Ability to Multi-task and mobilise to offshore locations with short notice
• Knowledge of EX relevant standards and practices for explosion protected equipment EEXd, EExe, EExp, EExn
• Attend relevant permit to work, ISSOW, or online permit training as directed by the Project team prior to mobilisation
• Pass the Shell LV/HV ESR course when required by the project team
