Description

One of our client in Netherlands is looking to recruit an Oracle DBA for a contract period of 3 months with an option of extension. The job is in central Netherlands. People having essential documents to work in EU or Netherlands will only be considered.

Job description:

The Database Administrator ensures development, maintenance and operational performance, availability and capacity of all databases within the e-Platform infrastructure, according to agreed project goals and operational services levels as defined in the SLA.

The most important responsibilities/tasks of the Database Administrator are:

* Analyse business requirements and derived functional and non-functional specifications (business service levels for performance, availability, capacity management), including the logical data model, and translate them into processes, procedures, work instructions and tools to ensure defined service levels can be met;
* Identify possible database solutions and create/change/extend the physical database design from designed logical data model in close co-operation with the Senior Application Development Specialist and PCE Data manager;
* Build, test and install the physical database solution throughout the e-Business Engines landscape;
* Primary contact to the Managed Operations team for all database deployment and operational activities;
* Functionally manage the implementation and support the operation of these solutions within Managed Operations;
* Take care of the delivery of the agreed level of Database Management to the business and reports on SLA performance.

Job demands:

The Database Administrator needs to have experience in and knowledge about:

* Oracle Database Administration (certified Oracle DBA);
* Professional Application Development, Maintenance and Deployment processes;
* Enterprise wide applications and related complex Oracle database solutions in SUN, UNIX environment;
* Oracle OPS; Complex back-up & recovery requirements and related solutions, especially in multi-application transactional processes;
* Data Warehousing concepts and solutions.
