Position
They are seeking Nuclear Safety Engineers to supplement our existing nuclear safety resource and help deliver a range of technically challenging nuclear projects. You will have extensive and appropriate safety experience. Candidates with previous nuclear safety industry experience are preferred; however, candidates without this experience will be considered where they can demonstrate a strong safety background.
Nuclear Safety Engineers will be responsible for providing project support and participation in the production of nuclear safety documentation including
authoring of nuclear safety cases
undertaking nuclear hazard/fault identification studies (HAZOP/FMEA)
nuclear qualitative and nuclear quantitative hazard assessments
accident sequence modelling assessments
nuclear safety management studies
provision of support to nuclear engineering substantiation studies
Key Skills
Suitable scientific or engineering degree or Equivalent
Sound technical or engineering background
Knowledge and understanding of nuclear safety legislation including site licensing requirements
Management of and assistance in the preparation of nuclear safety documentation
Knowledge of one or more of a range of nuclear plant including reactor, nuclear fuel cycle processes, waste storage and reprocessing
