Naval Architect required for a leading luxury motorboat company.
Naval Architect required for a leading luxury motorboat company.
The successful candidate will join an established Naval Architecture team working on a range of existing and new craft from 7 to 18m in length. Candidates will have experience within the small craft boatbuilding industry.
Qualifications:
- Minimum HND (or equivalent) relating to boat building, and or yacht design. Relevant shipwright training as an equivalent will also be considered.
- Training as a small craft surveyor is advantageous.
Key responsibilities:
- Modification to existing GRP components drawings and and laminate schedules,
- Generation and upkeep of GRP Bill of Materials,
- Liaison with production and field workforce regarding GRP manufacture and detailing.
Skills:
- Autocad 2D is essential
- Knowledge of Rhino 3D is advantageous
- Microsoft office suite
- Basic GRP scantling calculation experience beneficial
- Knowledge of GRP construction is essential.
