Electrical - Mechanical Systems Support Engineer - Derby
An experienced Systems Support Engineer is required by a leading manufacturer of rolling stock and rolling stock technology, in its Overhaul and Fleet Project Department. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone to enjoy a diverse workload that you would only find working within a market leading organisation.
Role and Description
This is a project based role working on the overhaul of rolling stock. You will be supporting and developing solutions with regards to performance and reliability, ensuring that customer requirements and industry standards are met.
Your role will involve the undertaking of investigations to resolve defects within electrical & mechanical systems and evaluating the supply process and supply chain to ensure work can be completed within specified budgets and time periods. You will work closely in the planning stages with the design teams, acting as a technical specialist to support them and the fleet management.
Required Experience
You will need to posses a degree in engineering; with a good knowledge of the design and maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems.
In addition, the preferred candidate will be a good team player as well as being comfortable working on their own. This role requires exceptional communication and presentation skills as it will consist of a lot of face to face liaison with clients.
