Description
Microstation CAD Technician is required to assist with draughting work for the National Contract for Signal Box Voice Recorders.
The successful applicant will be required to provide CAD Technician services on a variety of structural and civil engineering projects.
The role will involve working closely in a team environment ensuring that the contract deliverables are completed by agreed deadlines, of appropriate quality and within set budgets.
Key Requirements:
Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject
Experience in the use of Micro station
Experience:
Previous experience in the production of engineering drawings using Micro station or other drawing systems.
Experience of steel and concrete detailing on buildings and bridges.
Primary Duties:
Produce accurate, build able and economic engineering design.
Provide input into project quality plan.
Implement company quality procedures on all projects.
Supervise and checking of the production of engineering drawings.
Manage and develop CAD standards, processes and systems
Collate technical information from on-site surveys and inspections and other sources.
Assist Business Development team with input on technical matters or bid submissions and expressions of interest.
Typical Activities:
Arranging binding of reports, printing and collation of drawings.
Attending regular team meetings to review project progress.
Keep up to date with industry best practice and where appropriate roll this out to other staff.
Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Environmental and other appropriate regulations.
To undertake any other reasonable task as requested.
IT Skills:
The ability to use AutoCAD is desirable
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
