Description
Over the next 20 years, the world's airlines will need more than 24,000 new aircraft, which must be greener, cleaner, quieter and smarter than ever before. With a record of technological advances that includes fly-by-wire and the first time in the history of aviation that a commercial aircraft flew on an alternative "gas to liquid" fuel, Airbus is continuing to set the pace. Attracting, developing and sharing the highest standards of engineering talent is vital in ensuring that the world's aircraft are as efficient and as environmentally responsible as possible throughout their entire lifecycle.
Airbus UK is looking for Stress Engineers to join its teams in Filton, Bristol and Broughton, North Wales. This role involves the analysis of composite and metallic aircraft structure using standard static stressing methods to develop design solutions. In order to provide the optimum design solutions, you will liaise with other Airbus departments, such as, Fatigue and Damage Tolerance, as well as Design.
Successful candidates will have valuable work based engineering experience, preferably in the aircraft industry and will have been involved in static analysis of composite and metallic structures. An understanding of the fundamental method of analysis for static stressing and an ability to develop these methods are also essential. As an excellent team player, you will demonstrate a high regard for internal and external customers, whilst maintaining aircraft integrity as the over-riding principle.
A highly competitive salary and a benefits package are offered, along with relocation assistance for some positions. For further company information please visit: www.airbus-careers.com.
