THE JOB
MECHANICAL ENGINEER
Due to continued success and expansion my client is now looking to recruit an additional Mechanical Engineer.
Based at the clients Cheshire facility specialising in Mixers & Agitators the main purpose of the role is to support the field sales organisation ( Sales Managers, Agents, Representatives & Sales Channel Managers) with the handling of customer enquiries from receipt of enquiry to order placement.
Other duties/responsibilities are outlined below;
oTo promote the company's capabilities to both existing and new customers.
oTo design, engineer process solutions in line with customer requirements.
oTo ensure the timely execution of all associated specification and tender details to the tender team
oReview Material requirements and specification documents.
oLiaise directly with internal and external suppliers to determine component cost and lead-times.
oComplete detailed cost estimates for engineered machine parts to assist in Company Tender Documents.
oProduce specification for supply.
oLiaise with Contract Engineer/Purchasing to specify bought out items on completion of successful Tender.
oDevelopment of Standards, Procedures and Products related to new markets.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
1. Degree Standard High Pass Mechanical Engineer.
2. Preferably with 2 to 3 years industrial post qualification experience in a related industry with knowledge of rotating equipment, Reducing Gearboxes or Transmissions.
3. Some Commercial experience would be a positive advantage.
REMUNERATION
Basic Salary Negotiable (depending on experience), Normal Office Hours 0830-1700 with one hour lunch break. Flexi-time system is also in operation, 25 days holiday plus all statutory days, pension and up to 10% associated annual bonus.
