Mechanical designer / Document controller - Avon
To design mechanical structures and PCB boards & files to the correct manufacturing standards.
To actively create design guidelines for the engineering group.
Act as a document controller who will be responsible for the correct issuing of controlled documents.
Qualified in mechanical engineering or related discipline, with at least 3 years proven hands-on 3D Cad design experience. Experience of Solidworks is essential; experience of other CAD packages is desirable
Experience of working to meet tight deadlines. Knowledge of Basic engineering, Mechanisms, Manufacturing processes and Assembly processess
An understanding of circuit board layout is desirable.
Liason with Sales team on customer enquiries. Close working relationship with production & Engineering.
Designs to meet customer requirements
Use of modeling software to reduce design cycles
Creation of production and design documentation
