£30-40 p/h 6 month contract initially, extension likely
Salary and Location:
£30-40 p/h, Northumberland commutable from Newcastle, Gateshead, South Shields, Durham, Ashington, Cramlington, Hexham, etc.
Role Description:
Detailed mechanical and structural design of gas turbine air intake filtration systems, combustion exhaust gas systems and associated acoustic components and packages.
Mechanical and structural design of products and systems for power generation, oil and gas and similar industrial projects worldwide.
Produce cost-effective designs, in-compliance with specified requirements, within budget and to pre-defined deadlines.
Participate in research and development of new products and optimisation of existing product range.
Provide technical support to sales, projects, manufacturing and customer service departments.
Review client specifications, clearly identifying technical, engineering and commercial requirements, and risks.
Required Experience:
Mechanical / structural engineering design experience, previous experience using FEA / structural / mechanical analysis software packages (i.e., ANSYS, STAAD/PRO, QSE etc.)
