Description
Working on a large new-build Water Treatment Plant in East London our client is looking to add to their experienced team through the appointment of Mechanical Supervisors to report to the Lead Mechanical Engineer. This is a role that offers the successful candidate the opportunity of working on a high profile project utilizing unique technology and sustained workload in the area.

Resposibilities :
Under the coordination of the Installation Manager , the Mechanical Supervisor will be responsible for a certain part of the mechanical erection , with direct responsibility in coordination of supplies , method statements, subcontractors coordination , scheduling , variation orders control , progress reports , time control , coordination with other activities of the site , handling mayor problems on a day-to-day basis and implementation recovery plants to meet contract milestones.
Role :
Lead the weekly progress meetings with the subcontractor
Coordinate and expedite the required supplies
Supervise the work program evolution and implement corrective measures if necessary
Implement the H&S policy
Implement the QA/QC policy
Coordinate with other activities at the site
Ensure that the subcontractor is in compliance with the Contract, the local regulations and the Industry Standards
Knowledge and abilities :
Knowledge of materials used for water treatment plants , high pressure systems and DWI compliance.
Knowledge of British Standards
Ability to understand detail engineering drawings , specifications an codes
Ability to understand Methods Statements , Tests Procedures , and quality Control Techniques.
Ability to coordinate different trades and multicultural teams
Ability to use planning software like Primavera-Suretrac
