Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical bias)

A market-leading organisation requires a Mechanically-biased Maintenance Engineer to expand the maintenance team at their food production/packaging site. The Maintenance Engineers primary responsibilities will be:
* Providing planned and reactive maintenance coverage on production lines
* Investigating and developing opportunities for process
improvements/modifications
* Taking an active role in project groups
* Providing supervisory cover when necessary during shifts
The Maintenance Engineer will be Mechanically qualified (or equivalent experience) in a relevant mechanical engineering discipline, and will be experienced performing maintenance and improvements within fast paced food production environments. The Maintenance Engineer must possess a proactive attitude towards their work, and will be equally competent working alone or as part of a multi-faceted team.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent hydraulic and pneumatic skills as well as knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies developed within fast-paced industries such as food, FMCG, packaging or pharmaceuticals.
