Description
Mechanical HVAC Engineer Oman Airport Project
Sick of the rain? Tired of the taxes? Fed up with the fuel costs? Has the 2008 budget left you feeling like there's no light at the end of the tunnel? Is the only thing to look forward to getting your pension? These are the common complaints of UK citizens but if you're an experienced construction professional why not leave it all behind? Why work on a mediocre project when you could work on one that you'll be proud to say you were a part of?

My client is a leading international consulting group. They work worldwide within engineering, environmental science and economics. Since they were founded 80 years ago, they have been involved in more than 50,000 projects in 175 countries and are leading some of the largest infrastructure projects in the world. They have companies and offices in 35 countries, and project offices in all countries in which they operate.
My client's team in Oman are currently playing a significant role in a large-scale airport project from planning and design to supervision of the building works located outside Oman's capital, Muscat. The airport will have a capacity of 12 million passengers a year. In south Oman, the smaller Salalah International will have capacity for one million passengers. The airports are due for completion in 2011-2012.
This is the largest airport-building project ever in Oman, with the design of 600,000 sqm buildings combined at the two airports. This is my client's largest international project to date. 300 employees from Denmark, Oman, Sri Lanka and the rest of Asia are currently working at the project office in Muscat but many more are required.
The main skill set missing from the project team is that of experienced HVAC Design engineers, mechanical, hand on personnel to join and develop the building services team on the project.
Ideally suitable candidates will have 10 years plus or similar relevant experience in HVAC Design engineering, airport experience is desirable but not essential. The successful candidates will be rewarded with a considerable remuneration and if necessary relocation package which would entirely depend on the candidate but on average would be within the range of 2,500 3,500 Oman Rials (Approx £40,000 - £55,000 Tax free)
