An opportunity to work in a ship repair and refit environment.
Reporting to the Team Manager, you will be responsible for undertaking a range of repair and maintenance tasks on a variety of RN and Commercial vessels.
You must have served and successfully completed a recognised Mechanical Apprenticeship and a relevant trade qualification e.g. City & Guilds, ONC, HNC.
You will have experience of maintenance of the following systems on Royal Naval Vessels which are; Propulsion, Gearboxes, Diesels, Gas Turbines, Pumps and High Pressure Compressed Air.
Experience of working on Commercial vessels would be advantageous.
You must be self-motivated, reliable and able to demonstrate good time keeping.
The work is physically demanding and you will need to be a team player to ensure project deadlines are met.
The basic salary is 20,966 with overtime premiums paid after 37 hours, as well as an uplift on shift work.
You will be entitled to 193 Hours Holiday per annum, plus Bank Holidays, along with sick pay and a pension scheme.
