Mechanical Engineer - Worcestershire
Our client seeks an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer educated to degree level with 2-3+ years experience. You will be working as a member of a team of 6 design and development engineers providing complete product ownership from initial concept through to prototyping and manufacturing. Experience in the design of casting and sheet metal parts is desirable.
Key accountabilities of the role are as follows:-
Produce components and assembly drawing and models using 2D &3D CAD software.
Prepare design solutions, schemes and models to agreed specifications.
Produce manufacturing drawings and models of components and products and work with manufacturing to ensure satisfactory component and product manufacture.
Arrange testing of product necessary to provide design information and data.
Work to agreed time and cost targets.
Liaise with Design and/or Development staff allocated to jobs and projects.
Work with Development and Production departments to ensure acceptable product design.
Carryout feasibility studies working with Product Management as necessary.
Maintain drawing, model and calculation databases and assess, approve and action product design changes.
