A position has arisen for a Field Service Engineer Mechanical to join the world's largest supplier of post-press finishing equipment for the graphic industry. The Client is an equal opportunity employer that provides competitive salaries and comprehensive benefits.
Established over 50 years ago, the company design and manufacture Printing Presses, Book Binding systems, Print Finishing equipment, Inserting & Wrapping lines and Mailroom systems for Newspaper production. They lead the field in the development of advanced technology to meet the needs of a fast changing market
The Role:
This position is for a highly qualified Engineer with mechanical or electro mechanical skills. The engineer is expected to work on a wide range of Companies equipment and has to take responsibility and ownership over customer projects.
The Candidate:
Candidates for that position are expected to apply their engineering skills to attend breakdowns and installation on our almost endless range of machinery. They also need a broad knowledge of other disciplines such as electronics and electrical engineering. However, profound knowledge on print finishing equipment would be beneficial.
It is essential that candidates combine solid engineering background with good business sense and management ability and are able to work under high pressure and a constantly changing environment.
We also expect computer skills including editing, formatting and using templates in Microsoft Word; use of Internet for standards/products/manufacturer research and operation of computer controlled test equipment.
You must be willing to work away from home in a field based role, and therefore have a full driving license.
You will be working on client sites, so a suitable attitude and image are important. You have to be available for out-of-town and international travel if necessary for the proper performance of these duties.
•Salary from £25,000 plus substantial overtime benefits. OTE £35,000+
•The successful candidate is paid "Door to Door"A company vehicle is provided, Pension Health and Holiday schemes included.
