Position Description:
Mechanical & Facilities Engineer
• Provide engineering support to the ME Facilities Team to ensure that quality, cost and timing objectives are achieved with robust processes and products
• Participate in Engineering activities with Plant Forward Planning team
• Work with key suppliers onsite and core Dunton team to ensure equipment is delivered & installed to specification
• Work with the installation team in Bridgend Engine Plant to ensure program timing is met with regard to delivery of services and documentation
• Participate in cross functional team orientated problem solving
• Additional duties and travel as required
• Provide assistance to customer plants as required to support volume and quality improvement
Skills Required:
• A high level of motivation, initiative and creativity
• Ability to work with a diverse team of Engineers, Vendors and Contractors in both Manufacturing Engineering and the Customer Plant
• A flexible approach to cope with frequent change
• Knowledge of quality tools, such as G8D & FMEA
• Ability to prioritise tasks & manage a demanding workload
• Computer literacy is essential, preferred packages to include Word, Excel & Microsoft Project
• Experience in Mechanical drawing approval and large-scale facilities installation
Experience Required:
The successful candidate will have experience in a manufacturing or related activity
Education Required:
Applicants should ideally hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering or related subject.
Additional Information :
Standard Day Shift however, flexibility maybe required to work some weekends/evenings etc
