Mechanical Engineer - 12 month contract - £28 per hour
This world leading company specialise in the design and project management of automated production and process lines for a variety of blue chip companies including Ford and Honda in a variety of sectors including Automotive and Aerospace. Working on cutting edge technology this company are world leaders in their field and are currently looking for exceptional project engineers to work on large projects they have secured.
What the role will involve:
1.Taking customer specifications from the client and;
2.Designing the plant
3.Stress and mechanical calculations for the plant
4.HAZOP's and risk assessments for all areas of the plant
5.Writing functional design specifications for sub-contract manufacturing companies.
6.Working with and directing CAD Draughtsmen to ensure drawings are completed on time and to the required standard.
7.Managing the design and manufacturing process.
What the company are looking for in the contractor:
1.Experience in specifying materials and products including valves, pressure vessels, conveyors, piping and other associated process plant equipment.
2.Experience in design and risk assessments for process plant.
3.Good communication skills - need to communicate to design and manufacturing companies what they expect.
4.Background in a process industry environment to include - brewing, food process, water - clean and dirty, oil and gas, petro-chemical and pharmaceutical.
