Engineering design and looking for a graduate calibre mechanical design engineer to join their electromechanical products group. This covers design projects within a range of industries including: automotive/industrial drives, scientific instruments, consumer products, industrial systems and control systems.
The work will involve concept generation, analysis and design of mechanical and electromechanical systems and taking projects from initial client liaison through to delivery.
You will have a good degree (2.1 or better) and hands-on experience of 3D CAD tools (preferably Pro Engineer or Solidworks) combined with analytical techniques and tools (e.g. CFD, FEA). Knowledge of systems simulation and modelling would be useful (e.g. using Matlab / Simulink) and rapid prototyping (dSPACE) would also be useful.
