We are looking for a mechanical or mechanical/electrical design engineer with experience in aircraft cabin changes; however, candidates with general experience in the design of aircraft structures/systems will be considered.
It is not essential that candidates meet all requirements but they must have knowledge and experience of one or more of the following CS/FAR 23, 25, 27 & 29. The candidate must have CAD experience (AUTOCAD 2D 2008 is used) and experience of compiling certification packages (using Microsoft Word, Excel etc) for the aircraft change.
The position is currently for a contract designer. They must be conscientious, adaptable and able to work on their own initiative; they may be required to be a key holder.
Candidates are required to be interviewed; this may be in person or by telephone.
Start date is immediate; length of contract is short term with potential to extend as the work load increases.
The position is open to permanent staff subject to meeting the requirements of the position; candidates with some knowledge/experience and enthusiasm will be considered as training will be provided to ensure they become skilled in the work that we do.
