MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEERS - BODY
AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY
BASED WILTSHIRE

Mechanical Design Engineers are now required to be responsible for the mechanical design of manufacturing equipment using CATIA V4 / V5 & Decima. You will be involved in the development of mechanical specification for projects and support during large installations and provide quotations for projects.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer Body, you will Degree/HND qualified in a relevant engineering discipline and have previous design experience in a related industry. Design experience of automated manufacturing equipment using 3-D design package is essential and preferably knowledge of CATIA. Experience of draughting of components for manufacture is essential and experience of design of robotic cells & equipment is desirable. Knowledge of the specification & design of pneumatic & hydraulic circuits would be advantageous, as would BIW or Paint process knowledge. Experience of New Model equipment & quality maturation is desirable and you must have strong communication skills at all levels. Demonstrable experience of problem solving & implementation of countermeasures is essential. Demonstrable experience of proactively driving through changes within current department is desirable and you must have a flexible approach to work and able to work weekends and shutdowns when required.
