Experienced Mechanical Design Engineer / Applications Engineer required to execute successful special purpose machinery design from sales handover through to completion for a successful engineering company.
Salary & Location: £25-30k + 25 days Holiday + pension. South West, Devon, Cloyton, Honiton, Exeter, Axminster, Lyme Regis, Martock, Taunton.
The Role: Within the remit of the role you will work cradle to grave on the mechanical design and build of each machine. As a skilled and experienced engineer you will be liaise with clients in order to develop the specification for each project. Having conducted all necessary quotations you will then do the mechanical design of each machine. Given full autonomy on each project you will create the conceptual design on each system, working on them from the first design principles through to the final product. You will then work on the project, seeing the product through its build and liaising with suppliers to create a finished machine. This role would ideally be suited to an engineer looking for a technically diverse role within a secure and expanding organisation.

"Experience of using a 3D design package, ideally Solidworks.
"Either a HND or degree qualification in mechanical engineering would be looked upon favourably, although all candidates with relevant experience will be considered for the role.
