Qualifications
Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent
Experience of Autocad 2000 and above and preferably Inventor/3D knowledge such as: Solid works, Solid Edge, Catia or equivalent
Language ability an advantage
Skills
Experience of design with sheet metalwork and electro/mechanical light machinery
An ability to provide practical and cost effective solutions to design change and modification for individual order requirements
To offer creative thinking within cost and time restraints
The ability to work on several projects simultaneously meeting tight deadlines, co-ordinating projects.
A practical approach working with the team of assembly and test technicians as required
Good written and verbal communication skills liaising with customers and suppliers
Forward thinking and self-motivated
Some travel in the UK and overseas is required.
