Mechanical Design Engineer - Avon
Prepare accurate and detailed mechanical designs as required on a contract/design project basis. Giving consideration to methods of manufacture and use of alternative materials.
Ideally you will have experience of some of the following:
STADD software for structural steel analysis.
Familiar with Eurocode in regards to tanks support steelwork for tanks steel bridges for top of tanks etc
Solid edge knowledge but not essential.
Produce design studies, layouts, detail designs and detail drawings of assemblies and component parts of products, including plant layout, piping, conveyors, receivers, pneumatics etc, based on Data Sheets and previous projects within planned time scales, working with all available software packages. Ensure that all components are of a good design, fit together and are of the correct materials that will produce a final product that complies with the clients specification. Produce supporting documents for designs i.e. design calculations, Parts Lists, Drawing Registers, O & M Manuals, and Assembly Instructions etc. To assemble, maintain and control an Engineering Design File for each project. To review Site Supervisor and Contract Engineers comments to provide comprehensive As Built drawings and to design documents for future reference.
