They are now looking to recruit an experienced and talented Mechanical Design Engineer.

Our client is dedicated to the development and supply of innovative, quality products to steelmakers around the world. With over 30 year's experience, they specialise in supplying the steel industry with refractory products and machinery to complement the use of the refractory products.
They are now looking to recruit an experienced and talented Mechanical Design Engineer.
This is an excellent opportunity for a keen Design Engineer to join a well respected Engineering Division, within an internationally renowned company.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will be responsible for designing and detailing bespoke equipment for use in a steelplant environment based on known fundamental principles. This role will require your ability to adapt and apply your design skills to other mechanically biased equipment and projects for any industry.
Day to day your role will involve:
- Using AutoCAD
- Concept designing and detailing projects from start to finish
- Preparing internal quotations for equipment for manufacturing purposes
- Interfacing with members of the in-house manufacturing team
- Liaising with suppliers of equipment/raw materials to obtain best prices and delivery schedules
To succeed in this role you must be an experienced Design Engineer with experience of Industrial Machine design. You must also have the following:
- Minimum of HNC in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- An understanding of Power Transmission principles and CE Marking Regulations
As the Mechanical Design Engineer you must also be a team player and a competent user of the MS Office suite. More importantly, you will need the desire to succeed in their highly competitive manufacturing industry.
