Mechanical Design Engineer to work within the Structural/Hydraulic Design Department

The client is a leading supplier of underground coal mining equipment and services.
Full order books and the need to further extend key competencies within the team mean, they are currently seeking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer to work within the Structural/Hydraulic Design Department
Product Overview
Manufactures heavy duty electro-hydraulic powered roof support systems for the mining industry. Projects can be up to value of £30m.
The Candidate
Experienced Mechanical Engineer, who can demonstrate sound engineering competence. Capable of developing design concepts into reality and will be expected to perform supporting engineering calculations.
Qualifications
Recognised engineering apprenticeship and a degree or equivalent in engineering preferred. Fully conversant with AutoCad - Inventor would be very useful.
Duties
You will provide Innovative approach to clients' specific requirements providing bespoke machinery.
-design of water based hydraulic equipment or structural mechanisms for medium/heavy applications
-investigations into field and manufacturing problems.
