My client is one of the industry leading design and manufacture companies for well-engineered special purpose machines. Continuous development has resulted in a reliable and energy efficient product range which has been established by their current well established design team. They are now seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer on a permanent basis to help develop their current product range along with their latest products which they are looking to bring to market.
The Mechanical Design Engineer will need to be educated to degree level or equivalent within a Mechanical Engineering discipline. You will need a minimum of two years experience in the design of special purpose machinery or Print Machinery. Experience of designing sheet metalwork and electro/mechanical light machinery would be an advantage. Experience of using AutoCAD or a 3D CAD package such as SolidWorks or Inventor etc would be ideal.
As the Mechanical Design Engineer you will be required to offer creative thinking within cost and time restraints, you will need to possess a practical approach - working with the team of assembly and test technicians as required. This role will require occasional travel and will suite an individual that is forward thinking and self-motivated.
This position offers a great salary dependant on experience along with Pension, life assurance, Private healthcare and increased pension contributions after further qualifying period.
