Seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer on a permanent basis to join one of the UK's most recognised engineering company's. My client specialises in the design, manufacture and assembly of materials handling, conveyor and special purpose machinery. They have had phenomenal growth over the past year and are looking to expand their team of already 8 Mechanical Design Engineers with a permanent Mechanical Design Engineer to help develop current and new products.
The Mechanical Design Engineer will need to have a background in the design of either materials handling equipment, conveyor systems or special purpose machinery. The predominant CAD package used by my clients current Mechanical Design Engineers is SolidWorks but my client will look at candidates with any 3D CAD package background that are willing to be trained on SolidWorks. Experience of taking concept designs through to manufacture is desired as you will be responsible for liaising with clients and going out to client sites on a regular basis.
The Mechanical Design Engineer position itself is predominantly creating new product design but there will be work involved on previous products for upgrades and future development. You will work with a team of design engineers to take the customers initial concept design through to manufacture and back onto customer site to help with installation.
