Description
ROLE:Mechanical Design Engineer
SALARY:Competitive salary + bens
LOCATION:Buckinghamshire
Responsible for the design and analysis of advanced transmission systems for a leading engineering company, as a Mechanical Design Engineer you will work as part of a multi-disciplined team and be involved in new designs from conception to production.
Candidates will be degree qualified engineers with experience within a transmission & driveline engineering environment, ideally in the specification and design of various transmission system components.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Proficient user of 3D CAD - (Unigraphics / UGNX preferred). Experience with concept and detail design. Sound knowledge of latest drawing standards - BS8888.
Understanding and application of GD&T. Tolerance stacks. Team player. Work to tight deadlines. Self-organisation, self- motivation and self-disciplined. Good communicator. Good documentation discipline
Desirable experience: Automotive OEM/Tier1 or Consultancy background. Transmission or driveline experience. Experience in R&D environment. FEA & stress calculations. Materials and Heat treatment knowledge
