An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Design Engineer within this leading engineering company which is based in Derby on the Derby, Nottingham and leicestershire border. As one of the leading suppliers of equipment into the chemical, pharmaceutical, Oil and Gas and aerospace industries, this a superb opportunity for an engineer who is looking for a career as a real engineer.
THE ROLE
As the Mechanical Design Engineer you will be heavily involved in the design of new and existing products using Solidworks and Autocad. You will be working within an existing design team on a number of various projects. You will be heavily involved in the project from start to finish including basic calculations and stress analysis work which full training will be provided for . Finally once you have picked up the technical aspects of the role you will become more involved with the customer ensuring that projects are delivered to spec.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
- HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Similar
- Desire to learn
- CAD experience
- Good mathematical skills.
