Mechanical Design Development Engineer - Oxfordshire
The design, assembly, prototyping and testing of new components, functions, systems. Work will involve hands-on development as well as design functions and covers the design, implementation and testing of new machines and components of machines to expand the company's equipment product portfolio
Person specification:
Essential: Science or Engineering degree (2.1 or better) preferably Mechanical Engineering
Essential: Skilled in the use of Solidworks 3D ideally 2007/2008
Essential: Flexible will need to get involved with implementation and testing in addition to design.
Essential: Flexible team player, also able to work with minimal supervision
Essential: Able to interpret experimental results
Desirable but not essential:
Experience in equipment design particularly with vacuum based equipment; semiconductor or other clean room based processing equipment,
FE modelling
Experience with pressurised equipment
Materials knowledge
Experience in including Electrical & optical items in machines. Specifically with visible and IR imaging systems, Labview based instrumentation control would be useful.
Designing to comply with European Directives on EMC and safety, e.g. EN61010 or equivalent
Special requirements:
Availability and willingness to travel abroad
