Our client currently has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Marketing Manager or Brand Manager with solid experience in the FMCG markets. This is an exciting campaign to lead, in which you will truly be adding extra value to an already world re-nowned brand.
The key responsibilities of the role are:
To be accountable for monthly brand volume/value share development, and fiscal spending plan evaluation
To understand current image/equity, identify desired image equity and develop/manage research/product innovation/advertising plans to get there
To agree and communicate clear volume/profit building success criteria for all projects and implement critical path/testing plan to check before committing manager resource
To manage relationship with agencies to get superior on-time work
To work with all internal/external stakeholders to monitor, understand and respond to competitive intelligence/threats
To own and be accountable for managing consumer Brand support budgets.
To develop career and business skills of direct reports
To report monthly on business versus targets/goals/objectives
The Marketing Manager will manage a brand budget of up to £25M and will plan/monitor optimum usage of this budget reporting against and proposing actions to deliver brand targets of c£300M. Taking responsibility for a team of brand managers and brand assistants the Marketing Manager will lead large cross functional teams.
The ideal candidate for the Marketing Manager requirement will:
Have strong consumer or commercial experience gained within blue chip multi national consumer good companies preferably within FMCG
Have strong leadership skills with a broad range of stakeholders and management of these stakeholders from a consumer centric orientation
Be resilient with courage and conviction
Have prior demonstrated ability to coach people at all levels of the organisation
Clearly demonstrated analytical and commercial acumen
Have the ability to adopt structured processes and approaches and coach others to use them
Be a lateral and innovative thinker, but with ability to structure and communicate complex strategic ideas and drive them to pragmatic deliverable solutions
