Description

To efficiently provide and maintain secure Logistics & Transportation facilities, equipment and related manpower resources to ensure AIT Projects are proactively and comprehensively supported.
To establish the infrastructure for the development and optimisation of facilities and Logistics & Transportation processes in line with future business needs.
To ensure that all AIT Logistics & Transportation activities conform with Health & Safety & Environmental Controls.

Required Qualification level
Technical degree or Diploma.
Certificate in Logistics & Transportation (CILT)

Experience Requirement
Employment within an International / multi-site Engineering, or Manufacturing environment, particularly in the Aerospace field.
Previous Logistics & Transportation responsibility
Working environment/industryEngineering, Aerospace, Space, Automotive.

Success in efficiently providing and maintaining safe & secure facilities, equipment and related manpower resources to ensure Projects are proactively and comprehensively supported.
To establish the infrastructure for the development and optimisation of facilities and processes in line with future business needs.
To ensure that AIT facilities conform with Health & Safety & Environmental Control requirements
To maintain support as required to all project needs
To demonstrate personal ownership of tasks by taking the 'lead', utilising the wider team as necessary for support and advice, performing the necessary planning to enable you to take decisive action and producing the visibility needed to effectively deliver to an agreed plan.
To personally drive your development needs to avoid any impact on your performance arising from a skills shortfall.
Communicates both verbally and in written form. Is able to create confidence and understanding and gain commitment from others.
Regular meetings with stakeholders and minutes to record investigations and outcomes.
Powerpoint presentation of the Facilities & Logistics attributes, inefficiencies, opportunities and improvement plans for the monthly MPR.
Ensuring that all Tabs exceptions & / or anomalies are justified directly with N+1 or in his absence, Head Of AIT U.K., for supervisory approval.
Carrying out weekly team meetings with team & monthly one to one's.
Demonstrated Cost Management expertise
Ability to challenge and deliver decisions based on facts.
